General Rules for Studio Dans’Harmonie
These rules apply to anyone present in the Studio Dans’Harmonie premises and must be observed at all times. It is essential that the rules are read and understood fully.
General behaviour
These premises are intended for teaching and dance practice and well-being, everyone must respect the setting and atmosphere so that the Studio runs optimally. This notably relates to respect for the premises, activities and people.
Anyone who does not appreciate how important this rule is, is asked to remove themselves from the premises.
Respect for the premises
In terms of cleanliness, the premises are laid out and maintained to meet the highest hygiene and cleanliness standards in the dance studios. Anyone entering these spaces is encouraged to contribute to maintaining this condition by:
- appropriately using dustbins (feel free to fill them with rubbish ;-) )
- cleaning up behind them (leave only good signs behind, like smiles, laughs and the pleasure of dance)
- keeping your stuff tidy and together (meaning there's more space for others)
- not eating on the sofa or in the studio
- not "tempting fate" by leaving valuables unattended such as bags, mobiles, jewellery, etc.
Respect for the activity (dance and well-being)
For dance and well-being activities, the attitudes of those present may help to respect them. Such as:
- maintaining a quiet/calm demeanour especially during classes
- arriving on time to come into the studio at the start of the class
- favour areas outside the studio (such as the car park or gallery areas) for longer catch-ups and discussions. This avoids congestion at peak times.
- avoid going into the studio if you're not a dancer or permitted to do so
- pay special attention not to dirty the studio with outdoor shoes
- not using dance equipment (fixed or mobile barres, hoops, rugs, etc.) if asked not to by the teacher
- looking after the equipment made available when permitted to use it
- maintaining access to changing rooms exclusively for dancers (except for access to toilets)
Respect for people
Finally, but by no means any less important, respect for others is of paramount importance as far as the management of the school is concerned. The points below may seem obvious but there's no harm in mentioning them":
- do not chew tobacco during classes
- respect the privacy of others (particularly important in the changing rooms)
- respect the requests and/or decisions of teachers
- wear appropriate clothing, suitable for dance
- pay attention to good hygiene practices
- respect the timetables of the teachers and school managers (start times and end times)
- respect the managers of the school and their work to maintain the school
- acknowledge the work of teachers by paying subscriptions on time
Obviously, there are many other rules not cited here but the Studio believes that everyone wants to experience an optimal dance atmosphere and is willing to contribute to that.
Financial Terms and Conditions of Studio Dans'Harmonie
To avoid any financial conflicts, the following points are brought to the attention of anyone re-registering or pre-registering for one or more classes organised by Studio Dans'Harmonie.
An important distinction must be made beforehand: most dance or wellness classes for adults are managed autonomously by the teachers themselves and therefore, the conditions of payment, reimbursement, etc... are to be discussed with them. This is also the reason why there are no gateways between these courses (reduced prices at the choice of several different courses, ...).
For all courses organised by the Studio, the prices and conditions are identical. This is developed below.
This applies to all courses organised by the Studio.
This applies to all children/youth classes (Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Cheerleading and Breakdance) and all adult contemporary dance classes (for historical reasons).

COURSES RATES
From 04 September 2023, 2 pricing formulas will be offered when (pre-)enrolling students covered by contributions.
- the half-yearly subscription
The semesters are precisely defined each year (to be read on each specific page) but roughly cover the periods from September to January (inclusive) and February to June each year.
- The annual fee
The year (also known as the "academic year") covers the whole period from the beginning of September to the end of June.
If no formula has been specified at the time of (pre-)enrolment, it is considered semester-based by default.
COURSE FEES
Course fees are made up of 2 components: membership as a Member of Studio Dans'Harmonie and the price of lessons.
Membership is an invariable amount of €120 per academic year and is included in full in the annual package. Half (€60) is included in the half-yearly formula.
Stipends | 1 lesson/week | 2 classes/week | 3 classes/week | 4 classes/week | Free pass (unlimited) |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Half-yearly formula | 130 + 60 = €190 | 240 + 60 = €300 | 350 + 60 = €410 | 460 + 60 = 520€ | 520 + 60 = €580 |
Annual formula | 240 + 120 = €360 | 470 + 120 = €590 | 670 + 120 = €790 | 840 + 120 = €960 | 980 + 120 = €1,100 |
The total number of classes per child/youth student is calculated regardless of the discipline chosen between classical, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, breakdance and Cheerleading.
.
MODES OF PAYMENT
Half-yearly and yearly fees are payable ...
or by transfer to the Studio Dans'Harmonie bank account:
- BNP Paribas Fortis
- IBAN: BE98 0016 88 39 1393
- BIC: GEBABEBB
- In all communications, please indicate, failing to use the acceptance giro number, the first name, surname and level of the student.
or be in cash:
- All payments must be submitted in an envelope with the student's first name, last name and level.
PAYMENT DEADLINE
As a general rule, payments are due within 30 days after confirmation of (pre-)registration or the start of the activity.
In the case of a free trial course, the deadline counts from the express confirmation and at the latest from the 10th day after the trial course.
In the case of annual subscriptions not paid on time, the Studio may change the type of plan and consider it to be a half-yearly plan.
An initial letter (by email) (apart from the one confirming registration) is sent by the Studio with all the details: amount and acceptance giro number.
Quite logically, the expected amount will vary according to the chosen formula: annual or half-yearly.
If the formula expressly requested is the annual one, the total amount is claimed at the beginning of the year.
The deadline is shortened to 15 days in the case of a reminder sent by email sent by the Studio. The subject of the email explicitly includes the term "reminder" or "rappel" (in French).
In the spirit of the dance school, it is possible to obtain payment facilities. To do so, it is necessary to send a written request to info@studio-dansharmonie.be with some details about the payment intentions. The request remains confidential in any case and is part of the dialogue established in respect between the management and the applicant.
DEPOSIT
Why do we need to pay a deposit?
As the Studio has to turn down requests for many of its classes after a certain period, it needs to know that those who have been enrolled honestly intend to attend. The deposit must be paid within a reasonable time (+/- 7 to 10 days) into the Studio's account (see above). After the deadline, the Studio cannot guarantee pre-registration or re-registration in the requested classes.
The Studio may ask for only one deposit for several members of the same family.
There are two possible situations:
When registering for the first time (= pre-registration), the student is expected to take a free trial class.
The term free must be taken in the sense that if the student, after having taken the trial class, does not wish to continue, no payment will be claimed and the deposit may, under certain conditions (cfr infra), be fully refunded.
The deposit is generally requested when the pre-registration is prior to +/- 7 days before the beginning of the activity and/or the trial class.
If it is less than 7 days or after the beginning of the activity and/or the trial class, the deposit is requested at the confirmation of the registration and to definitively reserve the student's place in the requested class in the absence of payment of the full semester fee.
During a re-enrolment, the deposit is required to definitively reserve the class(es) of the student who has already evolved within the Studio.
Normally, the request for re-enrolment is requested a few weeks/months before the end of a season (academic year) and therefore the deposit is claimed from the response to this (unless explicitly instructed otherwise).
If the deposit is paid within the time limits seen above and provided that the request for re-enrolment has been validated and confirmed by the Studio, the latter undertakes to surely reserve the student's place in the requested course(s).
The amount of the deposit corresponds to half of the annual membership fee as a member of Studio Dans'Harmonie, i.e. €60.
The deposit is always deducted from the total amount due.
CANCELLATION & REFUND
The Studio wishes the satisfaction and well-being of its students. The latter are therefore entitled at any time to cancel their planned or actual activity within the dance school. The question is under what financial conditions.
With regard to refunds for a pre-registration (= a request for a first registration with the conditions of a free trial lesson):
- Cancellation at least 10 days before the 1st effective class of the semester concerned: the Studio refunds in full the deposit that has been paid;
- Cancellation within 10 days before the 1st effective course of the semester concerned: the Studio reserves the right to analyse the reasons given and may withhold up to €30 of the deposit that has been paid;
- Cancellation after the 1st trial class: the Studio refunds the totality of the sums paid if the cancellation is expressly formulated in writing (an email is sufficient) and does not exceed 10 days after this effective class (trial class);
- Cancellation beyond 10 days during the semester: if the Studio is not expressly informed of the cancellation or beyond the 10-day deadline after the actual class, the dance school will only refund the "class" component of the fee in proportion to the number of classes remaining in the semester. The "membership" component will not be reimbursed.
Concerning refunds for a re-enrolment (= a request for an enrolment of a student who has already evolved in the same discipline before):
- Cancellation at least 10 days before the 1st effective class of the semester concerned: the Studio refunds in full the deposit that has been paid;
- Cancellation within 10 days before the 1st effective course of the semester concerned: the Studio reserves the right to analyse the reasons given and may withhold up to 30 € of the deposit that has been paid;
If no deposit and/or no sum has been paid at the time when the question of an explicit or implicit cancellation is noted (a student re-enrolled but absent (and with no news) during the first 4 effective lessons of the semester concerned, for example), the Studio reserves the right to claim the "membership" component to compensate for an abusive reservation. The amount varies according to the half-yearly or annual formula chosen at the time of (pre-)enrolment.
Camps
CAMP RATES
The price of the camps is 160€ per week of 5 days and per student
There may be variations to this rate depending on ...
- if a public holiday falls during the week: the rate is 130€ for a 4 day week
- if the Studio grants the possibility to follow a camp half-time (mornings or afternoons only): the rate is 90€/student per week
- if the Studio accepts another particular formula, the calculation method is as follows: 40€ (registration fee) + 24€/day
.
MODES OF PAYMENT
The camp is payable...

- BNP Paribas Fortis
- IBAN: BE98 0016 88 39 1393

either in cash:
- All payments must be submitted in an envelope with the camp period + the child's first and last name.
PAYMENT DEADLINE
As a general rule, the entire payment is due no later than 7 days before the start of the camp if made by bank transfer or no later than the 1st day of the camp if made in cash.
DEPOSIT
Why do we need to pay a deposit?
As the Studio has to turn away students from a certain period for many of its camps, it needs to know that those who have been booked honestly intend to attend the camp(s) requested. A deposit of 50€ is requested with the confirmation of the registration of the request and must be paid within a reasonable period of time (+/- 7 to 10 days) into the Studio's account (see above). After this period, the Studio cannot guarantee that the camp(s) will actually be booked.
Only one deposit can be requested per family.
If the request for registration for a camp (and its confirmation) is less than 7 days before the start of the camp, the total amount of the camp must be paid as soon as possible into the Studio's account or paid in cash on the first day of the camp (see above).
The deposit is always deducted from the total amount due.
CANCELLATION & REFUND
The Studio wishes the satisfaction and well-being of its trainees. The latter are therefore entitled at any time to cancel their planned or actual activity within the dance school. The question is under what financial conditions.
- Cancellation at least 10 days before the first day of camp: the Studio refunds in full the deposit that has been paid;
- Cancellation within 10 days before the first day of camp: the Studio reserves the right to analyse the reasons given and may retain up to €40 of the deposit that has been paid;
- Cancellation on the first day of camp: the Studio reserves the right to analyse the circumstances and may refund 50% of the total amount of the camp;
- Cancellation after the first day of camp: the Studio reserves the right to assess the circumstances and is not obliged to refund any amount whatsoever.
If no deposit and/or no sum has been paid at the time when the question of an explicit or implicit cancellation is noted (a child registered but absent (and without news) during the first 2 days of the camp, for example), the Studio reserves the right to claim the sum equivalent to the deposit as compensation for an abusive reservation.
