From the week before the show until the end of the year
Please read this carefully
This year, we have hired the Uccle Cultural Centre for four days. Unlike in 2024, we were unable to take possession of the venue on the Wednesday before the performance.
During the week leading up to the performances, all classes will normally take place from Monday to Wednesday.
Thursday and Friday will be set aside for set-up and dress rehearsals for certain classes/levels at the Cultural Centre. Others will have lessons at the Studio.
For the weekend of the performances, we will provide you with details regarding the schedule, venues, attire, etc.
After the performance, there is a one-week break and the normal schedule of lessons resumes from 1 to 20 June.
From Monday to Wednesday, all classes are at the usual times and the usual place
For classes on Thursday & Friday: see the table below
on Saturday: no classes

HOW TO PREPARE THEM?
For the hairstyle
For the hairstyle, each ballet child is requested to come styled if possible in a chignon and, failing that, with the equipment to do so: a transparent net, elastic bands and large chignon clips;
that pupils whose hair is too short, come with 2 low bunbles (if possible).
Only one exception for the bun: the Petit Rat 1 classes on Tuesdays at 4.30pm, Wednesdays at 1.30pm and Saturdays at 12pm (who will be dressed as Indians).
For these pupils, we need 2 low pigtails each with 2 elastic bands (as we will be braiding as far as possible).
For make-up
You can make some of the work easier for us by already doing your child's make-up before you come.
This will allow us to only have to do any necessary touch-ups if necessary.
The make-up consists essentially of eyeshadow, blush and if possible, pencil on the eyes.
General appearance
As part of the performance, the choreography includes movements with raised arms, under stage lighting and in front of a large audience.
As with make-up or hairstyles, certain details may be more noticeable on stage. We therefore simply wished to draw your attention to this point.
For the dancers concerned, and if this is in line with their usual routine, some families choose to ensure their underarms are neat (shaved or waxed) for the sake of visual consistency.
Of course, this remains a personal choice, and the most important thing for us is that every child feels comfortable and confident on stage.
WHAT ELSE SHOULD THEY TAKE?
Each child will take a snack (including the drink) for the in-between time on stage. Please avoid food that stains (chocolate, red fruit,...).
For students dancing in the 2 Sunday shows, it is important to bring several snacks and a picnic (at least for those who stay with us during the interim).
WHAT ABOUT THE CHILDREN'S SUPPORTERS WHO COME TO DROP THE CHILDREN OFF (see timetable above)?
Except for volunteer helpers, accompanying adults (parents,...) are requested to leave their child with us as soon as they arrive at the Uccle Cultural Centre at the artists' entrance.
It will not be possible for them to enter the Cultural Centre enclosure and they must, once the child has been taken care of by our teams, leave.
TYPICAL PROCEDURE (from the arrival of the artists to the reunion after the show)
When they arrive, the youngsters will be prepared (in costume, make-up and hair (touch-ups)) to be ready for the main part, their appearances on the stage boards.
In broad terms, the programme can be summarised as follows:
- preparation of all the dancers
- final preparation
- entering the stage
- undressing of 1st costume
- snack break
- dressing the costume for the 2th part
- passage to 2th part of show
- pause and wait for the last passage on stage for the finale
- dressing
- reunion with parents at the end of the show
All the children will stay together (on stage or in the dressing rooms) during the whole period (from their arrival until the end of the show (after the bow and curtain fall). You can collect them from the Petit Foyer room (the room next to the main hall) (around 6 pm on Saturday, around 1 pm on Sunday morning and around 7 pm on Sunday afternoon).
MEMORIES, MEMORIES ...
... in photos
Our professional team of photographers will take the photos during the shows. However, you will be able to supplement them with your own photos as long as you respect 3 rules: photos for private use, no flash and avoid disturbing neighbours ;-)
... in videos
Concerning the videos, another professional team will film the whole of each show from 3 different cameras. An edit will be made afterwards.
A pre-sale will be organised during the intermission and after the show with several options: USB stick (or on DVD but only available to order). In addition, with the purchase of at least 1 of these media, a personalised link will be sent to you for a download of the film.
A preferential rate for all pre-orders will apply ON THIS DAY ONLY.
Classes will run as usual from Monday 1st to Saturday 20th June (included)
All classes will resume as normal in June
NO CLASSES FROM MONDAY 25 MAY TO SATURDAY 30 MAY (included)
We'll need this little time to sort, wash and tidy up after this crazy WE... and to reminisce about all the good times we've had together.
COURSES FROM MONDAY 1st JUNE TO SATURDAY 20 JUNE (included)
All classes will take place at the usual times and days.
This 3 weeks period is also dedicated to all trials for students already in our Studio but who would like to discover something else and for new students who will start from 7 September 2026.
